Reminisce on the love we had!
The MixPlate Series brought its newest creation, Pizza, Pajamas and Karaoke to HUHC '17.
PPK paid homage to your middle & high school daze. Our nostalgic kickback, allowed for our homies to come comfy, listen to & perform their favorite 90's jams, cut up with old and new friends, as well as compete for that 90's knowledge crown with 90's trivia sponsored and hosted by House Party Games.
The atmosphere was amazing and if you weren't there you missed out on a great event! Don't worry though PPK will be back in 2018 so get your jammy's and your jams ready.
The MixPlate Series brought back the dopest Taco Tuesday on a Thursday back to Howard Homecoming 2017! In it's third year, TTOT's curated house party with bites & beverages by Howard's own Grand Chef Auto with beats by DJ Big Mike was once again a phenomenal staple in the HUHC experience.
We also brought our TTOT peeps a lit hip hop trivia card game brought to us by the amazing University of Dope.
the mixplate about howard
The MixPlate About Howard wasn't The Cliche Howard Homecoming event.
We brought DC a trifecta of the dopest art, eats and beats in DC.
DJ Premonition was on the 1s and 2s as TMPAH's Beat Chef.
We can't forget the absolutely amazing art featured by DC, Maryland and Virginia based artists and phenomenal vendors including Jasmine Edouard, Jamul Wells, Shantelle Brumfield with Yarn Movement, Elana Jenkins with Funkiedo to name a few.
TTOT - After dark
TTOT (Taco Tuesday on Thursday) After Dark was a Howard Homecoming '16 epic house party curated with sips and eats by HU's very own class of '05 alum Serrano Barnes and Dante Gorham (Grand Chef Auto). In an amazing and intimate location in Adams Morgan, people ate, drank, laughed, connected and had one of the dopest nights; TTOT-After Dark was a complete success and one of the brightest highlights of the Howard Homecoming '16 weekend.
Ready to Dine
Taste That, Taste That! Ready to Dine was The MixPlate Series ode to all things Bad Boy.
Hosted at DSR Studios (1201 S Grand Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90015), our featured food truck was none other than Curb Appeal, with DJ Nephew and DJ QNice reprising their Beat Chef roles and Art Chefs Vincent Barbre, Gavin Barrett, Ric'diculous, Tianna Oliver and Danielle Lawson serving the artistic flavor
The encore to a sold out success, Southernplayalisticadillacfoodiemusik, gave The MixPlate Series attendees a taste of all things Outkast and the early era of hip hop. Maxed out on flavor, Grand Chef Auto reprized their featured food truck status, as did Art Chef, Vincent Barbre. We were introduced to new Beat Chefs DJ Nephew and DJ QNice.
